Hats Off to Washington State Teacher Mrs. Jodi Bell and Students!
On July 17, 2011, our company was contacted by a creative Washington state teacher, Mrs. Jodi Bell, who was working with her students on various summer research projects on air pollution and "going green". Always a champion of education, and wanting to encourage young students in doing good research work (and a teacher her creativity in inspiring her young charges), we thought you, our readers, would appreciate this teacher's letter, along with the research results of the students. We here at Sherman Home Inspections, Inc. realize that some sites are from CA and WA, and one even from the UK, but air pollution in any form is air pollution, and "going green" is "going green", no matter where it is found or where we are located. We do not endorse any of these websites as fact, encouraging you, our reader, to do your own research. If you find anything incorrect, please feel free to contact that website directly. Also, some of these websites are geared for children, and some are for adults. I hope you enjoy exploring these sites, perhaps even with your own children, and learning about air pollution and how we can go greener. Thank you, Mrs. Jodi Bell, for being a teacher of vision and encouragement to our young people today! Our hats off to you and other teachers like you.
Sincerely,
Barbara E. Sherman-White,
President
Sherman Home Inspections, Inc.
Science students from my summer class found some resources during our project that I felt would make a superb addition to your company's resources. I have been trying to find the best ways to engage my kids so that they want to learn and actually understand the information. Technology has made that rather difficult but I came up with a rewarding program that has really gotten my students to want to work hard and learn. I feel extremely blessed.
I first wanted to personally thank Mrs. Barbara Sherman for her time and for her willingness to help my students. She acknowledged my students' hardwork and has made an effort to reward them on her company site. It is people like her that have made a profound impact on our society. She has gone out of her way to further encourage and praise my students for their hardwork. There are no amount of words for me to express my gratitude.
I also want to thank the following students that were responsible for submitting these resources. They all have done a wonderful job in working hard and staying with it no matter how hard it seems to get. I am so proud of you all!
It is the encouragements for our children that accomplishments become great and successful. This is only the beginning. I hope the rest of you will share this same idea with your students and children so one day our world will be a better place.
- Thank you to the following students for a job well-done:
- Jackson C.
- Braydon M.
- Celia R.
- Makayla A.
- Danielle C.
- Mark P.
- Josh M.
- Rosalie D.
- Kristopher L.
Thank you to the rest of my class for all of your hardwork!
Mrs. Jodienne Bell, 10th Grade Science
